BGI Group has become aware that, on October 28, 2026, the United States Department of Homeland Security added BGI Group to the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act Entity List, or the “UFLPA Entity List.”
We take this matter seriously and wish to state our position as follows:
2. The UFLPA Entity List applies only to the listed entities themselves, and does not extend to their holding companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, or investee companies. It restricts only the export to the United States of products produced by entities on the list. BGI Group’s business activities in the United States represent only a very limited part of the Group’s overall business. Therefore, the designation is not expected to have a material impact on the Company’s operations. BGI Group’s research and development, production, and commercial cooperation in other countries and regions continue in an orderly manner, and the Group’s overall operations remain stable.
3. We will actively communicate with the relevant authorities and take appropriate measures as needed.
