On December 11th, the BGI Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the National Research and Innovation Agency of Indonesia (BRIN). This agreement establishes a collaborative framework for the development of research platforms, the advancement of scientific studies, and the cultivation of talent.

Yan Rianto, BRIN's Acting Deputy for Research and Innovation Infrastructure, and Cao Sujie, BGI Group's Southeast Asia Regional General Manager, formalized the MOU. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Amarulla Octavian, BRIN's Vice Chairman; Amich Alhumami, Deputy for Human, Community, and Cultural Development at the Ministry of National Development Planning; and senior executives from the BGI Group.
Amarulla highly commended the BGI Group for its significant contributions to life sciences research and its cutting-edge development and application of research platforms. He expressed enthusiasm for the BGI Group's increased collaboration with Indonesian sectors, which is aimed at enhancing research capacity, developing infrastructure, and fostering skilled professionals.
During their visit to the BGI Group Headquarters and the China National GeneBank, Amarulla and his delegation focused on understanding the organization's expertise in platform development, equipment innovation, and scientific breakthroughs.
