Recently, Tashpulatov Farkhodzhan Mukhammadzhonovich, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, visited the BGI global headquarters with his delegation. During this visit, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed between the Ministry of Public Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the BGI Group. This event was witnessed by Yin Ye, CEO and Executive Director of BGI Group, along with other executives from BGI Group and Uzbekistani officials. Both parties agreed to deepen cooperation in public health and talent training, contributing to the health initiatives of both nations.

In an interview with the Uzbekistani governmental media, Zhao Lijian, Director and CEO of BGI Genomics, a subsidiary of BGI Group, highlighted BGI's commitment to leveraging advanced genomics tools for tumor prevention, major infectious diseases, and other public health challenges in Uzbekistan.

On another recent occasion, Li Ning, Vice President of BGI Group, participated in the Uzbekistan-China investment forum held by the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan in Shenzhen. Representing BGI Group, he signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of Uzbekistan. Both parties will continue to deepen partnerships in various fields, including education, agriculture, and scientific research. Together, they will jointly explore innovative projects and solutions and promote genetic technology to bring greater well-being to the people of Uzbekistan. The forum was also attended by Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

From January 23rd to 25th, President Mirziyoyev conducted a three-day state visit to China, aiming to further deepen and expand cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, investment, and technological innovation. These efforts are expected to significantly benefit the health of Uzbekistan's population.
