Governor and Delegation of the Australian State of Queensland visits BGI Group

May 31, Shenzhen - BGI Group is honoured to welcome a distinguished delegation from the Government of the Australian State of Queensland, led by Her Excellency the Honourable Dr. Jeannette Young AC PSM, Governor of Queensland.

The delegation exchanged views on strengthening ties and exploring more collaboration opportunities between Queensland and BGI Group. 


Members of the Queensland delegation also include Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD, Former State Director of Microbiology for Pathology Queensland; Mr. Daniel Gschwind, Board Chair of Trade and Investment Queensland; and Mr. Rhett Miller, Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner of Trade and Investment Queensland in Greater China.

Her Excellency acknowledged BGI Group's long-term research and innovative achievements in the field of life sciences and contribution to pandemic response. She welcomed BGI Group to continue deepening its cooperation with academics and life science industry in Queensland. 


Dr. Yin Ye, CEO and Executive Director of BGI Group, discussed various collaborative opportunities in fields such as biotechnology, healthcare, and trade investment with the Queensland delegation. He underlined this visit highlights the commitment of both parties to fostering innovation and international cooperation.
