BGI Group Welcomes Hungarian Delegation: A Step Forward in Life Science Collaboration

On November 16th, BGI Group had the honor of hosting a delegation from Hungary. The delegation was led by Mr. Gergely Fábián, State Secretary for Industrial Policy and Technology, Ministry for Economic Development, and Mr. Előd Tasnády, Deputy Consul General of the Consulate General of Hungary in Guangzhou. The delegation visited the BGI Group headquarters in Shenzhen.

Secretary Fábián highly commended BGI Group on its innovative achievements and development progress, expressing the Hungarian government's continued support for strengthening cooperative ties between BGI Group and Hungarian institutions.


Dr. Yin Ye, CEO and Executive Director of BGI Group, emphasized that the company values its collaboration with Hungary. BGI is keen on leveraging its technology and scientific research accomplishments to further bolster Hungary's public health and scientific research systems.


The two sides also discussed potential collaborative opportunities in constructing research platforms, fostering medical industry development, and training talent.

During his visit, Secretary Fábián and the delegation learned about BGI's research and development in cutting-edge instruments and equipment, technological innovation, and ongoing projects in Hungary.


Before arriving at the headquarters, the delegation, accompanied by Mr. Péter Várfi, Consul General of Hungary in Guangzhou, visited BGI Group’s booth at the China Hi-Tech Fair 2023, where they inspected BGI's latest products and technologies.
